POST-INTERNET (2016)
Concrete, old smart phone, a pair of jeans, artificial plants, circuits, C-stand, LED light
Over the last 20 years information technology has undergone a rapid growth and changed our lives tremendously. We used to have the internet at one spot in the house and had to pass through the welcoming noise of a 56k modem when we entered the world wide web. Today, we carry small, portable internet computers in a pocket or bag when leaving home. It has become a part of our body and life. We tutū with smartphones 24/7; having conversations with your family and friends, at the dinner table and even making love - we cannot get enough of the digital drug!
Society as a whole has been transformed and there is no longer the borderline of the dial-up connection. We are living in the Matrix zone and the small screen that has created our life is so #postinternet.
